Fontys - Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA)
Jan teaches at
AMPA: Academy of Music and Performing Arts
and YMA: Young Musicians Academy.
The Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA) offers a four-year Bacherlor of Music programme. It is a course with an international focus that aims to bring students to the highest possible level of professionalism as music artists.
AMPA offers two profiles, Classical and Jazz, and the main focus is on the musical philosophies and vocabularies of the 19th century onwards. Special attention goes out to new contemporary approaches to performing and composing ensemble music. We work within an interdisciplinary context. Lessons in entrepreneurship, music education and research, communication skills and concept development complete the core of our curriculum.
The Young Musicians Academy (YMA) is a special education course at the Fontys Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA) in Tilburg, The Netherlands. It is specially designed for very talented and motivated young musicians in the age from 8-18 years.
